I am an artist who enjoys working in a variety of mediums.
In recent years in the United States I have worked more exclusively painting, using both acrylic and oil, preferring large scale canvas. My most recent works were created using Derwent Inktense pencils on canvas.
I have painted murals in peoples homes and on fabric backdrops for classrooms and ministry centers. Mural painting is now a great part of what I do while I am living in Mozambique, although these are not commissioned works but rather an outflow of ministry.
For many years my preferred medium was pencil drawings, with most of my commissioned work in portraits. It is a joy to capture a person’s likeness and personality, often combining the portrait with an illustrated montage containing important aspects of their life. This is an area where I have been able to honor the memory of the lives of those who have too quickly passed from this world, from pre-born and newborn to retired adults.
Commissioned portraits help to fund the missions work!
A head and shoulder portrait starts at $235.00 and is typically 11″x14″.
If you are interested in commissioning a portrait please contact me with any questions or ideas you may have. I can then give more specific pricing information and photo requirements.
I have also worked in color pencil, airbrush on murals and tapestries, calligraphy, and some graphics and logo design.
